Yes very much so. Time for a new bank

The RBS in Grantown is shutting too!!! Nearest branch Inverness!!!!!!!

Absolutely, in there atleast 3 times a week in the summer and twice a week in the winter, ripping another community service out local villages. What about the elderly?
Another empty unit for a new outdoor shop chain👿.
Poor staff

Looks like lots of money going to the ‘irreplaceable’ top management

Yip, disgraceful, peer staff ana 😢

Yes, will be changing to another bank that offers deposits at the post office.

Yes it does, especially since the Grantown one is closing too. My Nepal toilet account will be affected.

Whilst I know it’s small comfort you can do a lot of banking transactions at your local Post Office. Including deposits to RBS (with a paying in slip).

The reality is that high street banks in small town are just not sustainable, more people are doing more banking online and obviously a bank can’t exactly diversify and start selling papers, juice and sweeties as an additional revenue stream.

It’s fundamentally the same reason for the Post Office network transformation. The old model was not sustainable and was costing the taxpayer a fortune, so they changed it.

RBS is still taxpayer owned and this year returned profits in the first 6 months of this year. Playing devils advocate here, on the one hand people say as it’s taxpayer owned it should be open, but why would we want a taxpayer owned asset to be carrying branches which are presumably losing money.

Yes. Grantown is closing too, so where is the nearest RBS for residents of the north of the strategy?
